The Rangitikei River is a premier New Zealand trout fishery flowing 241 km from the Kaimanawa Ranges to the Tasman Sea. It features wild rainbow and brown trout, with trophy fish over 4.5 kg in clear upper backcountry reaches and good numbers of 1.5 to 2 kg fish downstream.
