That is what you will find at Taihape’s iconic Gumboot Day celebration and competition. A truly fun family day out, this unique event started in 1985 right in the heart of New Zealand’s rural countryside. Gumboot Day is Taihape show casing what we do well here in the Rangitīkei!
Come along & enjoy Taihape’s hospitality, take part in the many activities on offer as well as the market, food & craft stalls, live music all day there is something for everybody. Throwing the gumboot is only half the excitement – all ages are encouraged to enter.
