Once a year, Marton's quiet country streets become one big open-air market.
With more than 200 stalls, live entertainment, local food and plenty of Christmas gift inspiration, Marton Market Day is one of the biggest annual events in Rangitīkei. It's the kind of place where you'll arrive looking for one thing and leave with homemade fudge, a handcrafted gift and something you definitely weren't planning to buy.
From artisan makers and garden treasures to clothing, toys, plants and local produce, there's something around every corner. Add live music, great coffee and plenty of food trucks, and you've got an easy excuse to spend the whole day in town.
